The Board of Postgraduate Studies (BPS) is responsible for the coordination and management of all postgraduate academic programmes offered at Tharaka University. It ensures that Master's and Doctoral programmes are implemented in accordance with the University's academic policies, Commission for University Education (CUE) standards and international best practices.

The Board provides leadership in postgraduate admissions, supervision, examination, thesis processing, research ethics, quality assurance and graduation. It works closely with Schools, Departments and supervisors to ensure that postgraduate students receive quality academic guidance throughout their studies.

• Coordinate admission and registration of postgraduate students.
• Develop and implement postgraduate academic policies and regulations.
• Coordinate postgraduate research proposals, thesis and dissertation examinations.
• Ensure quality assurance in postgraduate teaching, supervision and assessment.
• Facilitate appointment and training of postgraduate supervisors.
• Monitor students' academic progress and research milestones.
• Coordinate oral thesis defenses and examination processes.
• Promote postgraduate research, innovation and scholarly publications.
• Support postgraduate students through academic guidance and mentorship.
• Coordinate postgraduate graduation clearance and certification.
